Chenoa – Juan Burnias, 71, of Chenoa, passed away at 2:50pm, July 3, 2012 at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.

A private funeral mass will be held and burial will take place at Chenoa Township Cemetery.

Juan was born March 17, 1941, in Monterrey, Mexico the son of Jesus and Inocencia Trevina Burnias.

He married Gloria Tanguma on June 26, 1966. She survives.

Surviving are two sons, Johnny Burnias of New York and Elmo Burnias of Chenoa.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and four sisters. He was the youngest and the last of his siblings.

Juan was a retired welder after 39 years with Interlake in Pontiac.

Juan was an avid fisherman and enjoyed landscaping.
