Fairbury – Bernard L. Harris, 78, of Fairbury, passed away at 12:30am, February 1, 2013 at El Paso Health Care Center.

Cremation has been accorded. A graveside service will take place at a later date in Graceland Cemetery, Fairbury.

Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice of charity.

Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury is in charge of arrangements.

Bernard was born April 10, 1934 in Fairbury the son of Willis D. and Josaphine Van Oppen Harris.

Surviving are one son, Nathan Harris of Florence, MO; two sisters, Twyla Legner of El Paso, and Carole Mulliken of Bloomington.

Bernard was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, one infant brother, and one sister.

Bernard was a veteran of the United States Army. He worked for Honegger’s Mill in Fairbury.
