Mattie R. Jacobs, 88, of Chenoa passed away at 5:24 pm, Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at Evenglow Health Center, Pontiac.

A graveside inurnment will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, February 16, 2013 at Chenoa Cemetery, Chenoa with Pastor Dan Patterson officiating. Cremation rites have been accorded. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa is assisting the family with arrangements.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be directed to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or the charity of the donor’s choice.

Mattie was born June 22, 1924 in Randolph, KY; the daughter of Elmer B. and Mary Ida (Mcintire) Runyon. She married Robert T. Jacobs on August 26, 1950 in Chenoa. He passed away July 9, 2012.

Survivors include one daughter, Julie Jacobs of Schaumburg, IL; two sons, Jerry (Christy) Jacobs of Wildwood, MO; Jim (Colleen) Jacobs of Flower Mound, TX; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter in-law, Gretchen Jacobs, five brothers and four sisters.

Mattie was an active member of the Presbyterian Church of Chenoa. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
