U.S. VeteranRobert Joseph Crain Jr., 54, of Fairbury passed away at 12:15 am, Sunday, February 10, 2013 after a battle with cancer, at his residence in Fairbury.

A memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm, Thursday, February 14, 2013 at the River of Life Outreach Church, Meadows; with Pastor David Heath officiating. Cremation rites have been accorded and a private family graveside Inurnment will take place in Frankeberger Cemetery, Ellsworth. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury is assisting the family with arrangements.

A visitation will be 5 to 7 pm, prior to the memorial service Thursday, February 14, 2013 also at the Church in Meadows. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family of Robert Joseph Crain Jr.

Bobby was born December 25, 1958 in Chicago; the son of Robert J. and Delores (Lopez) Crain Sr. and was raised by Delores (Arthur) Vinson. He married Deborah McDaniel in August, of 1999 in Pontiac. She survives in Fairbury.

Other survivors include his mother, Delores Vinson of Louisville, KY; five children, Chase Crain of Pontiac; Matthew Ciulla of Fairbury; Tabitha (Derek) Lane of Madeira Beach, FL; Dewayne and Michelle Ciulla both of Chenoa; nine siblings, Roberta Carter, Lance Crain, Bill Crain, D.B. (Dave) Allen, Ray Vinson, Lee Vinson all of Louisville, KY; Frank (Sue) Crain of Saunemin; Curtis Vinson of Omaha, NE; Cliff Oldfather of Portald, OR; mother in-law, Judy McDaniel of Chenoa; brother in-law, Randy McDaniel of Chenoa; two sister in-laws, Teresa (Jim) Ciulla of Lexington; Marci (Wayne) Curtis of Chenoa; and four grandchildren, David Johnson, Natalie and Ian Alverson and Garrett Hamilton.

He was preceded in death by his father, step-father and father in-law, Earl McDaniel.

Bob served our country in the U.S. Army and was discharged in 1977. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
