Ada L. Raby, 96 of Chenoa, died at 8:02 am, Saturday, December 7, 2019 at her residence in Chenoa surrounded by her family.
Cremation rites have been accorded. There will be a memorial service at 2:30 pm, Saturday, December 14, 2019 at Chenoa Baptist Church, Chenoa with Pastor Jeff Williams officiating. Inurnment will take place at a later date in Chenoa Township Cemetery, Chenoa. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa is in charge of arrangements.
A visitation will be 1 -2:30 pm, on Saturday, prior to her service also at the Baptist Church in Chenoa. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to Chuck or Brian Raby; the family of Ada L. Raby.
Ada was born on January 9, 1923 in Horton, KS; the daughter of Leo and Susie (Bumgardner) Burke. She married Joe Wills on September 27, 1941 in Missouri. She later married Robert Raby on October 3, 1953. He preceded her in death December 11, 1991. Her parents, five sisters, two brothers and one son also preceded her in death.
She is survived by her children, Shirley English of Benton, KY; Ron (Barbara) Wills of Thorton, CO; Chuck (Christy Schopp) Raby of Chenoa; Brian (Angel) Raby of Chenoa; one sister, Ida Schopp of Gardner; one brother, Howard (Emmy) Burke of Creve Coeur; 17 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and many-many great-great grandchildren.
Ada attended the Chenoa Baptist Church. She loved people, and would do whatever she could to help someone in need. In her free time, she liked to work on seek & find puzzles and read old western books.
