Obituary
Aldine Elizabeth Steffen, 92, of Fairbury died at 6:02 pm Sunday, March 2, 2008 at her residence.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 am Thursday, March 6, 2008 at the Apostolic Christian Church, Fairbury with the ministers of the church officiating. Burial will be in the South Apostolic Christian Cemetery, rural Fairbury. Friends may call from 3:00 to 7:00 pm Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury and 9:00 to 9:45 am Thursday at the church.
Aldine was born October 9, 1915 in rural Fairbury to Samuel and Lena (Broquard) Zehr Sr. She married Ezra W. Steffen on December 4, 1938 in Fairbury. He preceded her in death on September 22, 1999.
Survivors include six children: Darlene (Jim) Boaz, Champaign, Dale Steffen, Palm Desert, CA, Albert (Karen) Steffen and Kenneth (Janice) Steffen, both of Fairbury, Harvey (Nancy) Steffen, Phoenix, AZ, and Donna (Bill) Whitson, Winfield, KS, twelve grandchildren, thirty seven great grandchildren, and one sister, Anna Steffen, Fairbury.
Aldine was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kim Boaz, two brothers, Ben Zehr and Sam Zehr, and six sisters, Clara Zehr, Lena Zehr, Mary Traub, Ida Steffen, Sarah Zehr, and Fannie Steffen.
Aldine was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church, Fairbury.
The family suggests memorials be given to the Apostolic Christian Church or Fairview Haven Nursing Home, both in Fairbury.
