Alec Craig Crutcher, 13 of Fairbury, passed away on Saturday, July 24, 2010 in Little Kansas, OK from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident returning home from a family vacation.

Funeral services will be 10 am, Friday, July 30, 2010 at the First Baptist Church of Fairbury, with Pastor Steve Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in South Graceland Cemetery, Fairbury. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 pm, Thursday, July 29, 2010 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury.

Alec was born July 1, 1997 in Normal, the son of Craig and Sherri (Snearly) Crutcher. His mother and father survive in Fairbury.

Other survivors include; his maternal grandmother; Janeen (Donnie) Kilpatrick, Fairbury, paternal grandparents; James and Meralee Crutcher, Cropsey, aunts and uncles; Russell (Tena) Snearly, Fairbury, Chris (Kris) Crutcher, Branson, MO and Jodi (Paul) Coleman, Fairbury, cousins; Jesse Pifer, Ashley Snearly, Brexton Peterson, Tessa Peterson, Cole Crutcher, Cortney (David) Gutirrez, Cameron Coleman, and Jordan Coleman.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Michael Snearly in March of 2007.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial gifts be directed to the Tori and Alec Crutcher Memorial Fund at Busey Bank.

Alec was to be an eighth grader at Prairie Central Junior High involved in basketball and baseball. He was a natural athlete who loved sports and competition. He loved hunting and fishing but above all he loved spending time with his friends and family.
