Fairbury – Alice Haab, 92, of Fairbury passed away, July 11, 2011 at 1:44am at Fairview Haven Nursing Home, Fairbury.
Funeral will be held at 10:30 am, Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at Forrest United Methodist Church. Rev. David Reynolds will be officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 4-7:00pm on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury.
Alice was born April 14, 1919 of Kempton the daughter of George and Winnifred Roberts Moore.
She married Lewis Haab in January of 1938. He died in October of 1989.
Surviving are two sons, Jim (Karen) Haab of Normal and Dick (Vicki) Haab of Forrest; grandchildren, Jeff Haab, Todd Haab, Tiffany (Brian) Oakley, Jennifer (Steve) Gschwender; great-grandchildren, Kaley Haab, Nicholas Oakley, Sydney Oakley, AJ Gschwender; sister, Edna "Tiny" Skinner of Forrest; sister-in-laws, Ione Moore of Knox, IN, Jean Jensen of Fairbury, Elva Mae Sutter and Helen Rapp both of Fairbury.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Hollis Moore, Jim Moore, and Howard Moore and one daughter, Barbara Haab.
Alice was a member of the Forrest United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and past Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star.
Alice was an avid card player. She was very crafty and enjoyed creating landscape paintings.
She was loved by everyone and she loved her family dearly.
