Obituary
Forrest – Alma Jean Schmidgall, 75, of Forrest passed away at 1:17am on Thursday, August 6, 2009 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urabana.
Funeral will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, August 8, 2009 at the Forrest Apostolic Christian Church. The Ministers of the Church will be officiating.
Burial will be in North Apostolic Christian Cemetery, Forrest.
Visitation will be from 2-8:00pm on Friday, August 7, 2009 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury and one hour prior to the services on Saturday.
Alma Jean was born December 7, 1933 in Forrest the daughter of Joseph and Ida Sutter Kaisner.
She married David Schmidgall on July 11, 1954 in Forrest. He survives.
Also surviving are her children, Sam (Sherrie) Schmidgall of Forrest, Dan (Mary) Schmidgall, James (Lisa) Schmidgall, John (Janet) Schmidgall all of Fairbury, David (Janet) Schmidgall of Hancock, MN and Mary (Andre) Ross of Urbana; 15 grandchildren; three sisters and four brothers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and two granddaughters.
Alma Jean was a member of Forrest Apostolic Christian Church.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Fairview Haven Nursing Home or SELCAS.
