Anna Louise Van Antwerp, 88, Fairbury passed away Saturday, March 5, 2011 at her daughter's residence in Florence, MO.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 am Friday, March 11, 2011 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury with the ministers of the Apostolic Christian Church officiating. Interment will be in the South Apostolic Christian Cemetery, rural Fairbury.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday, March 10, 2011 and 9:00 to 9:45am Friday at the memorial home. The family suggests memorials be given to the Anna L. Van Antwerp family or the Missouri River Hospice, Jefferson City, MO.
Mrs. Van Antwerp was born March 2, 1923 in Forrest Twp, IL the daughter of George and Margaret Peter Zimmerman Jr. She married William A. Van Antwerp August 28, 1952 in Fairbury, IL. He died on January 12, 1995.
Surviving are one daughter, Judy (Nathan) Harris, Florence, MO; two grandchildren, Sean Ray Harris and Heather Marie Harris. Also surviving are two sisters, Thelma O. Slagel, Fairbury, Florence M. Koch, Tremont, IL and one brother, Donald H. Zimmerman, Fairbury.
She is preceded in death by one sister, Eldora M. Steinle.
Mrs. Van Antwerp was a 1941 graduate of Fairbury-Cropsey High School. She was a homemaker. Had been employed at the Fairbury IGA for many years and later worked as a CNA for Fairview Haven Nursing Home. More recently she did in home care for people who needed assistance or rehabilitation.
