Mrs. Bach was born August, 17, 1915 in Brunswick, TN the daughter of John Benjamin and Ada Thomas Morris. In addition to her parents, her two younger brothers preceded her in death.
She married John Nicholas "J.N." Bach, Jr. of Fairbury in 1936. The couple quietly marked their 70th wedding anniversary without ceremony on October 1, 2006. He survives in Forrest.
Also surviving are two sons and one daughter: Dr. Jan M. (Dalia) Bach of St. Charles, IL, Gaylon H. (Gerald) Gwin of Lapine, AL, and Eric L. "Bones" (Cindy) Bach of Bloomington as well as five grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In 1980, Anne retired from Champion Federal after holding various clerical positions for over 25 years with predecessors Forrest Building & Loan, Pontiac Savings & Loan, and Bloomington Federal.
She taught Sunday school at the Fairbury church of Christ, served on the board of directors of the Forrest Library, and was an active member of the Forrest-Strawn-Wing PTA, FSW Band Boosters, and FSW Quarterback Club.
In addition to being a devout Christian, devoted wife and mother, loyal friend, and tireless homemaker, Anne Bach was an avid reader and life-long learner.
She delighted in doing hand crafts of all kinds, playing piano, gardening, cooking, engaging in animated conversation, and spending time doing for her family and many friends.
Her gentle nature, razor sharp wit, and incredible sense of humor coupled with her loving personality to make Anne Bach a truly unique woman---the kind that only comes along every 90 years or son.
She will be sorely missed by all of those lucky enough to have known and loved her.
