Fairbury – April M. Sedam, 55, of Fairbury, passed away at 9:30am on December 21, 2009 at Loyola University Medical Center, Maywood.

Cremation has been accorded.
A Memorial service for April will be at 2:00pm on Monday, December 28, 2009 at First Baptist Church in Fairbury. Pastor Daryl Evans will be officiating. Friends may greet the family from 12-2:00 pm also on Monday at the church. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury is in charge of arrangements.

April was born April 1, 1954 in Rock Island the daughter of Warren and Doris Hurley Rogers.
She married Jimmy L. Sedam on November 25, 1972 in Moline. He survives.

Also surviving are her mother-in-law, Mary Sedam of Moline;
her children, Shane (Katy) Sedam, Ryan Sedam, Erin Sedam and Todd Sedam all of Fairbury; grandchildren, Alexandra Sedam, Rain Shepherd, Tyler and Maddie Rinkenberger and Kiana Garcia; brothers, Warren (Doris) Rogers, Jr of Arkansas, Steven (Linda) Rogers of Washington and William Rogers of Forrest; sister, Shelly (Bruce) Neurberg of Rock Island.

April was preceded in death by her parents, a granddaughter, Zoey Sedam and sister-in-law Penny Sue Rogers.

She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. An avid Cubs and Denver Bronco fan, she also enjoyed playing card and doing crossword puzzles. One of her greatest joys was watching her kids play baseball.

The family suggests that memorials may be made to St. Jude Midwest Affiliate.
