Obituary
Ardella Marie Zimmerman, 85, a lifetime Fairbury and Forrest area resident died at 10:20 pm Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Colfax.
Ardella was born February 11, 1922 in Forrest, IL a daughter of Harry and Elise Sohn Streitmatter. She married Melvin Zimmerman on June 18, 1946. He survives in Fairbury. Also surviving is a son Randall (Mary) Zimmerman, Forrest, three granddaughters, Kim (Mark) Haab, Fairbury, Kelli (Ryan) Coleman, Channahon, Kara Zimmerman, Normal, and four great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by one brother, Edwin.
Her funeral service will be 10:00 am Monday, January 28, 2008 at the Apostolic Christian Church, Fairbury which she attended, with the ministers of the church officiating. Burial will be in the Apostolic Christian Cemetery, Fairbury. Visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 pm Sunday at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury.
In lieu of flowers Ardella suggested memorials be made to the Humane Society of Central Illinois, P.O. Box 401, Bloomington, IL 61702 or to the Apostolic Christian Church, Fairbury.
