Arletta L. Klomparens, 92 of Pontiac and formerly of Chenoa and Manteno, passed away at 12:01am, Sunday March 24, 2019 at Evenglow Lodge, Tjardes Health Center, Pontiac.
A funeral service will be held for Arletta at 2:00pm, Saturday, March 30, 2019 at Chenoa United Methodist Church, Chenoa, with Pastor Debbie Honegger officiating. Burial will take place at Chenoa Twp. Cemetery, Chenoa.
Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00pm, Saturday, March 30, 2019 also at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Chenoa United Methodist Church or the Chenoa VFW Auxiliary. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa, has charge of arrangements.
Arletta was born January 23, 1927 in Chenoa, a daughter to Fred L. and Myrtle B. Myer Seeman. They preceded her in death. She married Robert E. Klomparens on December 20, 1946 at the Chenoa United Methodist Church. He preceded her in death on October 28, 1996.
She is survived by her children, Robert D. Klomparens of Mount Pleasant, SC, Randy L. (Joyce) Klomparens of Portland, OR, Mary L. (Richard) Lee of Taylorville, IL, Rex (Lori) Klomparens of Peotone, IL; grandchildren, Kristin K. (Eric) Partin, Robert (Whitney) Klomparens, Ryan (Jessica) Klomparens, Jonathan (Tiffanie) Lee, Jason (Emily Hood) Lee, Matthew (Sarah Dalton) Klomparens, and Megan Klomparens; great-grandchildren, Alex Dreher, Lillian Lee, Elliot Lee, Adelynn Lee, Greyson Klomparens, Coralynn Klomparens, Reid Klomparens; one brother, Fred (Dottie) Seeman of Chenoa; and one sister, Mary (Rolla) Colson of Streator, IL.
She is also preceded in death by one sister, Laverne (Seeman) Martin, and one daughter-in-law, Linda Klomparens.
Arletta was a graduate of Chenoa High School Class of 1945 and worked at Manteno Mental Health Center for 18 years. While working, she attended Kankakee Community College where she earned her LPN. She was a lifetime member of the Chenoa VFW Auxiliary and the Chenoa United Methodist Church. While she lived in Manteno, she was a member of the Manteno United Methodist Church. She spent her retirement in Mesa, AZ with her husband for the first 10 years and the remaining 15 before returning to Illinois to be near family.
