Obituary
Fairbury – Arnold Huffman Rich, 79, of Fairbury, passed away at 9:35 am on Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Colfax.
Funeral will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2009 at 10:00 am at Trinity Lutheran Church, Fairbury with visitation one hour prior. Pastor Tom Krieger will be officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Wing.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 24, 2009 from 5-7:00 PM at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury.
Arnold was born April 26, 1929 in Pontiac the son of Merrill and Ruth Huffman Rich. They preceded him in death.
He married Eunice Harms on May 2, 1948 in Forrest. She survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Mary Ann (Tom) Givens of Bloomington and Kathleen (Jerry) Holforty of Edisto Island, SC; one son Randall (Marci) Rich of Bloomington; seven grandchildren, Sheila (Shane) Nowell, Gina Givens, Kristen (Brandon) Galloway, Chip Weber, Alex Rich, Tyler Rich and Kaleigh Rich; three great-grandchildren, Josiah, Caitlyn and Alaina Nowell; three brothers, Robert (Charlotte) Rich of Johnson City, TN, John (Nancy) Rich of North Fort Meyers, FL and William Rich of Saunemin; one sister Ann (Robert) Gaston of Saunemin and several nieces and nephews.
Arnold worked for Honegger's in Fairbury, Chore Time in Milford, IN, United Agri Services in Gridley, and Champion Federal in Pontiac.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Fairbury and Indian Creek Country Club. He was a former member of the Pontiac Elks.
The family suggests that memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Fairbury or charity of the donor's choice.
