Fairbury- Arthur Joseph Roy, 89, of St. Samuel Station, Quebec, passed away at his residence on June 5, 2025.

Cremation has been accorded. He will be buried next to his wife at a later date.

Arthur was born September 30, 1936, in Quebec, the son of Regis and Rose Marie Roy. He married Estelle Eva Roy on August 10, 1957. She passed on September 26, 1977.

Surviving are his five children, Richard (Shelly) of Marion, Martial (Debra) Roy of Fairbury, Marilyn (Terry) Hish of Bloomington, Guylaine (Phil) Dohman of Fairbury, and Sylvie (Mark Sr.) Earney of Pontiac; 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and five step-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, father and mother-in-law, Aime and Rose Roy and great-grandchildren, Parker and Clayton Lee.

Arthur was dedicated to his job with Asplundh for 60 years. He took pride in everything he did. He had a great love for his cat BooBoo and his DODGE Trucks.
