Forrest – Barbara Ann (Ricketts) Allen, 76, passed away at 9:24 am, on Sunday, February 9, 2025 at Goldwater Care, Gibson City.

Funeral services will be 1:00pm, Friday, February 14, 2025 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury. Burial will follow the service in Forrest Township Cemetery, Forrest.

Visitation will be 11 am to 1:00 pm on Friday prior to the funeral service also at the funeral home in Fairbury. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family of Barbara Ann Allen.

Mrs. Allen was born February 28, 1948 in Fairbury; a daughter to Maurice and Wilma (Haab)Ricketts.  She married Jerry Dean Allen on March 21, 1970 in Forrest.  Her husband, Jerry preceded her in death August 9, 2014. Her parents, and one brother, Robert "Bob" Ricketts also preceded her in death.

Barb is survived by two daughters, Jodi (John) Doyle of Fairbury; Kristie Allen of Chicago; one son, Scott Allen of Monticello, IN; one brother, Wayne (Donna) Ricketts of Braidwood; one sister, Marlene (Gene) Colclasure of Normal; sister in-law, Gail Ricketts of Missouri; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Barb was a 1966 graduate of Forrest-Strawn-Wing High School in Forrest. She enjoyed gardening, rooting on the Indianapolis Colts and loved spending time with her family who will deeply miss her.
