Obituary
Chenoa – Bernice M. Brady, 96, of Chenoa, passed away at 7:43pm, September 23, 2015 at Meadows Mennonite Retirement Community, Chenoa.
Cremation has been accorded. Private family services will be held at a later date. Inurnment will be in Chenoa Township Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Meadows Mennonite Retirement Community, Alzheimer's Unit.
Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa is in charge of arrangements.
Bernice was born April 11, 1919 in Cedar Rapids, IA the daughter of Arthur and Gertrude Backus.
She married George E. Brady in March 3, 1946 in Ingelwood, CA. He passed away March 21, 2003.
Surviving is her son, Dennis (Karen) Brady of Crystal Lake; sister, Ethel Petersen of Torrence, CA, and brother, Donald Backus of Ingelwood, CA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and two sons, Russell E Brady and Ronald W. Brady; sisters, Maxine Gillette, Mary Catherine Nye, Dorothy Gilbert and brother, John Backus.
Bernice graduated from Ingelwood High School in 1937.
She was a life member of the Chenoa Presbyterian Church.
Bernice was a devoted and caring mother.
