Obituary
Bernice L. Ellis, 83 of Fairbury, died at 6:55 am, Friday, March 12, 2010 at OSF St. James-John Albrecht Medical Center, Pontiac.
Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at the First Baptist Church, Fairbury with Pastor Steve Anderson officiating. Burial will take place in Avoca Township Cemetery, Fairbury.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, Monday, March 15, 2010 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury. The family suggests memorials be directed to the First Baptist Church of Fairbury; Fairview Haven Nursing Home; or S.E. L.C.A.S all in Fairbury, IL.
Mrs. Ellis was born August 9, 1926 in Champaign, IL. She married Raymond Ellis on April 24, 1943 in St. Louis, Mo. He passed away on September 24, 1999.
Surviving are three daughters, Beverly (Wayne) Stotler, Hudson, IL, Karen (Gene) Denick, Fairbury, IL, and Dawn (Richard) Huber, Fairbury, IL; nine grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, one great great Grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her parents and two infant sons.
Mrs. Ellis was a member of the First Baptist Church of Fairbury and the Charity Home Rebekah Lodge # 112., Fairbury. She enjoyed quilting, family vacations, and spending time with her family.
