Obituary

Bernita Louise Meredith, 61 of Chenoa, passed away at 10:10 pm, Monday, June 20, 2011 at her residence in Chenoa.

Her funeral will be 11:00 am, Thursday, June 23, 2011 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa with Pastor Dan Patterson officiating. Burial will follow in Chenoa Cemetery, Chenoa. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 am, on Thursday prior to the service also at the memorial home in Chenoa.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be directed to Daughters of the American Revolution or Livingston County Humane Society.

Bernita was born April 13, 1950 in Bloomington the daughter of William and Adelaide (Green) DeWall. She married William Howard Meredith on August 1, 1970 in Gibson City. He survives in Chenoa. Her parents preceded her in death.

Other survivors include her two children; Jason (Kimberly) Meredith, Round Lake Beach, IL; Julia Ann Meredith, Greenville, NC; three grandchildren, Lucas, Madeline and Nora Meredith, one brother, Arlen (Susan) DeWall, Gibson City; one niece, Angela Beck, two nephews, David (Carrie) DeWall and Billy DeWall; great niece and nephews, Ava Rexroad, Devin Beck, and Keegan DeWall.

Bernita was employed as a Laboratory Technician for St. James-John Albrecht Medical Center in Pontiac for 15 years. She was a member of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution and a member of the Chenoa Presbyterian Church.
