Chatsworth - Bertha Marie Sharp, 102, Pontiac and formerly of Chatsworth, died at 4:47pm Tuesday, July 21, 2026 at Goldwater Care, Pontiac.

Visitation will 4 -7:00 pm, Thursday, July 30, 2026 at the United Methodist Church, Chatsworth. Her graveside service will be 10:00 am, Friday, July 31, 2026 at Brenton Cemetery, Piper City. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury is in charge of arrangements. The family suggest memorials be directed to the United Methodist Church, Chatsworth.

Mrs. Sharp was born May 27, 1924 in Risk, IL the daughter of Anthony Dennis and Olive Priscilla Bachtold Friedman. She married Leon Frederick Sharp on December 15, 1941 in Palmyra, MO. He preceded her in death on December 17, 1982

Survivors include one daughter, Phyllis (Harvey) Ashman, Chatsworth; one granddaughter, Tina Beebe, Pontiac; two great grandchildren, Peyton and Tyler Beebe, two brothers, Alvin Friedman and Glenn Friedman and one sister, Hazel Johnson.

She is preceded in death by one son, Dennis Sharp, six brothers and one sister.

Mrs. Sharp was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening, quilting and her flowers. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Chatsworth and the American Legion Auxiliary Post #613. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
