Chenoa – Bill Ledford, 84, of Chenoa, passed away at 4: 30 am, September 24, 2023, at Arcadia Care of Bloomington.

Cremation has been accorded.

Duffy- Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Hospital.

Billy was born August 15, 1939, in Jonesville, VA, the son of John and Bertha (Dean) Ledford.

He married Ardella Ingle in 1961. She survives.

Also surviving are his daughters, Debi (Larry) Belmar of Bloomington and Cindie (Dean) Stanfield of Sandusky, OH; grandchildren, McKenna Calhoon of Chicago, Lauren Stanfield of Columbus, OH, and Julia Stanfield of Sandusky, OH.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.

Bill was a veteran of the United States Army serving in Germany.

He retired from Caterpillar Tractor Company in 2002 after over 40 years of services.

He attended the Chenoa Baptist Church where he volunteered in many capacities. He previously was a member of the Lakeshore Assembly of God, Mentor, OH where he was a Sunday School teacher.

Bill volunteered with Peace Meals, Foot Pantry, and Meadows Mennonite Retirement Home.

He enjoyed being in his woodshop construction bird houses for craft shows.

Bill was a die-hard Cleveland Browns Fan.
