Chenoa: Bonita Bernice Spence, 72, Chenoa died at 8:00 am, Tuesday, February 20, 2007 at her residence in Chenoa.

Her visitation will be 4:00 to 8:00 pm, Thursday, February 22, 2007 at the Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa.
Funeral services are 10:30 am, Friday, February 23, 2007 also at the memorial home in Chenoa, with Pastor Rob McCoy officiating the service. Burial will take place in Payne Cemetery, Rural Chenoa.

Mrs. Spence was born November 20, 1934 in Pontiac, IL, a daughter to Louis and Myrtle (Street) Ramsey. She married Glen Raymond "Jim" Spence in Pontiac on May 10, 1952, he survives in Chenoa.

Also surviving are 2 sons; Cliff (Denise) Spence, Carl (Lisa) Spence both of Chenoa, 3 Daughters; Lisa (Kevin) Krones, Gridley, Joyce (Bill) Ashcraft, Odell, Sheri (Gary) Moser, Fairbury, 18 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 3 brothers; Asher Ramsey, Marshall Ramsey, Ike Ramsey, 4 sisters; Mildred Buck, Dorothy Rohlfs, Becky Grider, Ann Bush and very special in-laws Carolyn & Ernie Hoffmann, Joann & Bert Dyer, Marilyn Poshard and Roy Reed.

Her parents, 2 sons; Glen Madison Spence and Weldon Ray Spence, 3 brothers and 1 sister preceded her in death.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Chenoa and was past president of the Chenoa VFW Ladies Aux. Bonnie worked as a secretary for Gray Metal, Bob & Jim's Hamburger Stand, Alexander Lumber and Bank of Chenoa until retirement. She enjoyed reading, collecting angels & music boxes, baking cakes, & spending time with family and friends. Christmas Eve with her family was something that was very special to her.

The family suggests memorials be given to BroMenn Hospice, American Heart & Lung Association or the United Methodist Church of Chenoa.
