Colfax – Brian D. Dameron, 65, passed away at 9:00pm, July 5, 2017, Advocate BroMenn Regional Medical Center, Normal.

Cremation has been accorded.

A memorial service will be held 5:00pm, July 9, 2017, at Colfax United Methodist Church. Pastor Gifty Smith will be officiating.

There will be a Celebration of Life following at St. Joseph Catholic Parish Hall.

Visitation will be held from 2-5:00PM, July 9, 2017, also at the church.

Duffy-Pils Memorial Home is in charge of arrangements.

In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.

Brian was born April 11, 1952, the son of Darvin and Alice Simmons Dameron.

He married Jane Molck on September 8, 1973. She survives.

Also surviving are his daughter, Keri (Fiancé Rey Vargas) Dameron of Chicago and son, David (Maureen) Dameron of Mansfield.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Brian graduated from Octavia High School Class of 1970 and attended Illinois State University.

He farmed in the Colfax area for 35 years retiring in 2006. He lived most of his life on the family farm.

Brian was a lifelong member of the Colfax United Methodist Church where he served as a trustee. He also served on the Anchor Grain and Alliance Grain, Board of Director for 28 years, many of those years as secretary.

Brian was an avid and passionate golfer who on days when not in the field could be found on the golf course. He was a member of Indian Springs Golf Course for over 40 years, where he had also served on the board.

Brian and Jane enjoyed spending winters in New Smyrna Beach, FL, which quickly became their home away from home.

He put up a good fight and will be dearly missed my many.
