Obituary
Fairbury –Brian J. Munz, 24, of Fairbury died at 9:12 pm Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at St. James-John Albrecht Medical Center, Pontiac.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 pm, Friday, July 25, 2008 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury and one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.
Funeral services will be 10:00 am Saturday, July 26, 2008 at the First United Methodist Church of Fairbury, with Pastor Charles McDonald and Pastor Spencer Homan officiating. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery, Fairbury.
Brian was born January 22, 1984 in Fairbury, IL the son of Jim Munz and Karen (Maley) Munz.
Survivors include his father; Jim (Jeanne) Munz, Fairbury, his mother; Karen Munz (Ron Vance), Fairbury, one brother; Gregory Munz, Jacksonville, IL, three step-sisters, Katie Dunn, Fairbury, Kayla Roy, Fairbury, Kelsey Breen, Chillicothe and maternal grandparents; Charles and Marjorie Maley, Fairbury.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents J. Hartzell and Frieda P. Munz.
Brian was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Fairbury and the Fairbury Fire Department. Brian was owner operator of Big B's Lawn Care, Fairbury. He was also employed at Popejoy Plumbing & Heating, Fairbury and Petersen Farms, Colfax. He loved spending time with his friends and family. Hunting and trapping were his passions in life. As long as he was outdoors he was happy.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be given to Fairbury Fire Department in memory of Brian Munz or the charity of the donor's choice.
