Bruno Orsowy, 79 of Chenoa, passed away at 12:01 pm, Monday, March 19, 2018 at his residence in Chenoa.

Visitation with the family will be 4 to 7 pm, Thursday, March 22, 2018 at the Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa.  Cremation rites will take place at the conclusion of the visitation and a private family inurnment will take place at a later date in Chenoa Township Cemetery, Chenoa.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be directed to the Eastern Conference Region of OSF Hospice.

Bruno was born August 20, 1938 in Troppau, Landeskrankenhaus, the son of Bruno and Bozena "Berta" (Hendrich) Orsowy Sr. He married Donna Donaldson on September 19, 1959 in Streator.  His wife, Donna survives in Chenoa.  His parents preceded him in death.

Other survivors include three children, LeRoy (Tammy) Orsowy of Flanagan; Bob (Diana Bubenik) Orsowy of Gridley; Dianna (Manny) Cordero of Bloomington; one brother, Josef (Chu) Orsowy of Moline; two sisters, Olga Hahn and Veronica (John) Eyerman both of Carbon Cliff; 7 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Mr. Orsowy was employed by Interlake Inc., Pontiac for over 35 years.  He loved being outdoors, especially in his garden or in his favorite fishing hole.  He had an incredible talent of working with wood; making many pieces of furniture to lawn ornaments.  Bruno was a hardworking, quiet man that loved his family. All who knew and loved him will miss him deeply.
