Carol Ann Rathbun, aka. Ma, Fairbury, died at 1:22pm Thursday, December 16, 2021 at OSF St. James-John Albrecht Medical Center, Pontiac.

Ma was born July 12, 1936 in Mellott, IN the daughter of Walter Scott and Edna Mae Bowman Gott.  She married Duane Allen Rathbun on September 11, 1954.

Survivors include her children, Cynthia (Mike) Ziller, Hudson, Becky Whitfill, Tamara (John) Ward and Scott (Lillian) Rathbun, all of Fairbury; seven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter; and one brother, John (Diane) Gott, New Milford, CT.

She is preceded in death by a son-in-law, Tom Whitfill, two brothers and three sisters.

Ma was a longtime bus driver for the Fairbury-Cropsey and Prairie Central school districts.  She was a member of the Sunshine Club, Country Domestic Club and was a talented artist and seamstress.

Ma was liked by many but dearly loved by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Cremation rites have been accorded by Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury.  Inurnment will take place in Graceland Cemetery, Fairbury at a later date.  The family suggests memorials be given to SELCAS or the First Presbyterian Church, Fairbury.
