Carol Ann Smallwood, 86, Brighton, CO, passed away peacefully with her loved ones around her Sunday, November 1, 2026, at Collier Hospice, Wheat Ridge, CO.

Mrs. Smallwood was born November 13, 1939, in Pontiac, IL, the only child of Clarence and Pearl Holmes Asper. She married Donald Smallwood on April 22, 1962, at First United Methodist Church in Pontiac, IL. He survives in Brighton, CO.

Other survivors include three sons, Kipp & Glenda, their 2 children and 3 grandchildren in Littleton, CO, Scott & Lin, and two children in Denver, CO, and Eric & Laurie, and 5 children and 2 grandchildren in Lawrenceburg, IN.

Mrs. Smallwood enjoyed her 64-year marriage to Don, traveling and fishing in Canada and Mexico, cheering for her Denver Broncos, time with her family, and friends and her beloved cats.

Funeral service will be held at 10:30 am Tuesday, November 10, 2026, at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury, IL with Pastor Paul Wier officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Fairbury. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Livingston County Humane Society. A celebration of life is planned at their home in Brighton, CO on Saturday, April 10, 2027, from 2pm-5pm.
