Caroline I. VanScoy, 74, of Chenoa, died at 9:30 am, Saturday, July 5, 2014 at OSF St. James-John W. Albrecht Medical Center, Pontiac.
A celebration of Caroline's life will be from 3 to5 pm, Saturday, July 12, 2014 at the Chenoa Baptist Church. Cremation rites have been accorded and a private family Inurnment will take place at a later date. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home; Chenoa will be assisting the family with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers memorials contributions may be directed to the family of Caroline I. VanScoy.
Caroline was born December 30, 1939 in Lansing, MI; a daughter to Paul and Gertrude (Craddock) Bentley. She married Carson VanScoy Sr. in Pontiac. He preceded her in death August 1, 1979. Her parents and one brother also preceded her in death.
Survivors include two sons, Herman Sabin and Carson (Robin) VanScoy Jr. both of Chenoa; one daughter, Carol (Alan) Kilgore of Chestnut, IL; four grandchildren, Paul (Jessica) Sabin of Bloomington; Kelli Sabin of Normal; Carson VanScoy III and Blanka VanScoy both of Chenoa; and three great grandchildren.
Caroline assisted in the raising of many youth in Chenoa; in her home day-care for over 20 years. She enjoyed spending time at the "Doll Shop" in Chenoa with her best friend Donna. She loved her family and her grandchildren were the light of her life.
