Carolyn K. Kemp, 74, Pontiac, died at 11:53 pm Thursday, June 13, 2019 at her residence surrounded by her family.

Her funeral will be at 10:30 am Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Chenoa.  Burial will be in Southside Cemetery, Pontiac.

Visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 pm Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa.  The family suggests memorials be given to St. Paul Lutheran Church, Chenoa or the Community Cancer Center, Normal.

Carolyn was born September 20, 1944 in Pontiac the daughter of Herschel O. and Ethel (Vissering) Otto.  She married Donald Leland Kemp on September 11, 1966 in Chenoa.  He preceded her in death on November 3, 2006.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, parents and a brother, Myron Otto.

She is survived by her children, Kara (Brian) Nelson, Normal, Kevin (Jessica) Kemp, Peoria, AZ, 2 grandsons, Rylan and Owan Nelson, 4 granddaughters, Kyndel and Peyton Nelson, Mia and Sophie Kemp, a brother, Merlyn (Kathie) Otto, Bloomington, a sister-in-law, Elaine Otto, Gridley.

Carolyn was educated in Chenoa schools and graduated from Chenoa High School.  She was employed by the Bank of Pontiac for 43 years until her retirement.  She was very involved and loved spending time with her family, friends and especially her grandchildren.  She enjoyed traveling, gardening, watching sports events and old car shows.
