C. Clifton Adams, 79, of Chenoa passed away at 7:05 am, Friday, February 17, 2012 at Evenglow Lodge, Pontiac.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm. Monday, February 20, 2012 at the Chenoa Baptist Church, Chenoa with Pastor Christian Ricker officiating. Interment will follow in Chenoa Cemetery, Chenoa.
Visitation will be 1 to 3 pm, Monday, February 20, 2012 also at the church in Chenoa. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be directed to the charity of donor's choice.
Charles Clifton Adams was born March 19, 1932 in Liberty, KY; the son of Joe Calvin and Maude Bell (Lee) Adams. He married Phyllis Hankins on April 2, 1953 in Jeffersonville, IN. She survives in Chenoa.
Also surviving are four sons, Russell (Debbie) Adams, Monticello; Roger (Donna) Adams, Pontiac; Paul (Lori) Adams, Chenoa; Keith Adams, Bloomington; one daughter, Peggy (Dale) Cashmer, Flanagan; two brothers, Kenneth (Faye) Adams, New Holland; Vern (Marian) Adams, Arondo, WA; three sisters, Rebecca (Jack) McConaughey, Ft. Myers, FL; Blanche (Dave) Koehler, Morton; Louise Mason, Lexington, KY; Eleven grandchildren, Eight great grandchildren and his beloved dog, "Woody".
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Hershel Adams and three sisters, Edith Adams, Ada Richards and Thelma Adams.
Clif retired in 1994 from Livingston Stone Co. where he worked for over 29 years. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Evenglow Lodge, Pontiac for the care Clif received during his stay.
