Chenoa: Charles Russell Landrus, 71, Chenoa died at 2:15am Saturday, December 30, 2006 at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.
Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00pm Tuesday, January 2, 2007 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa. Cremation rites will be accorded following the visitation.
Mr. Landrus was born December 28, 1935. The son of Everett N. and Verna Pauline Franklin Landrus. He married Diana Keeneth July 6, 1959 at Shawneetown, IL. She survives at Chenoa.
Also surviving are two sons: Charles Russell (Tanya) Landrus II, Chenoa, Linden (Sherry) Landrus, Gridley, two daughters: Denise D. (Dan) Shepard, Fairbury, and Sherri L. (Gary) Propes, Pontiac. Five brothers: Everett U. Landrus, Paxton, IL, Lloyd L. Landrus and Kenneth P. Landrus, both of Thompson, Ohio, David N. Landrus, Peoria, AZ, and Dennis D. Landrus, Chenoa. One sister: Sherry Jean Smith, Long Point, IL and 8 grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and 1 sister.
Mr. Landrus had served in the US Marine Corps (1954-1957) and had been a plant manager and welding supervisor at Roof Manufacturing, Pontiac.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be given to the Humane Society of their choosing or to the charity of the donor's choice.
