Obituary
Fairbury – Charles E. Taylor, 56, of Fairbury, passed away April 22, 2009 at 8:05 am at his residence.
Funeral will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2009 at 2:00 pm at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury with visitation from 12:00-2:00. Rev. Spencer Homan will be officiating. Cremation will take place following the services.
Charles was born March 14, 1953 in Fairbury the son of Carl and Retha Wilson Taylor. They preceded him in death.
He married Sally McDuffee Abbott on December 4, 1998 in Bloomington. She survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Amber Taylor of Bloomington and April Taylor of Carbondale; step-daughter Jennifer (Brian) Entner of Washington; three step-grandchildren Bryce, Alyssa and Travis Entner; two sisters Karen (George) Klein of Elk Grove Village and Joyce Carney of Fairport, NY.
He was preceded in death by his brother in law Russ Carney.
Charlie's parents passed away at a young age. Bill and Pat Hibsch became very special and instrumental people in his life.
He was a farmer in the Fairbury area. He was a member of the Livingston County Farm Bureau.
Charlie had a passion for hunting and loved rooting for the Cardinals.
The family suggests that memorials may be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network 2141 Rosecrans Ave. Ste. 7000 El Segundo, CA 90245
