Obituary
Charlotte Josephine Brucker, 64, Hudson and formerly of Cropsey, died at 6:05 pm Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at Martin Health Center, Bloomington.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am Monday, August 5, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Colfax with Fr. Carl LoPresti officiating. Burial will be in Cropsey Twp. Cemetery.
Visitation will be 3:00 to 7:00 pm Sunday at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm. The family suggests memorials be given to the Community Cancer Center, Normal.
Mrs. Brucker was born March 13, 1949 in Chicago, IL the daughter of John Patrick and Charlotte Coggins Ryan. She married Richard Lynn Brucker on August 7, 1971 in Northlake, IL. He died on June 9, 2010.
Surviving are three sons, Derek Adam (fiancée Ashleigh) Brucker, Cropsey, Dustin Allen (Jocelyn) Brucker, Ankeny, IA, Dagan Andrew (fiancée Sabra) Brucker, Cropsey, six sisters, Kathleen Ryan, Orange, CA, Eileen Meisinger, Tempe, AZ, Patricia (James) Neuenberger, Flower Mound, TX, Evelyn (Anthony) Zack, Cupertino, CA, Mary Lou (Matthew Sautner) Ryan, Scottsdale, AZ, Geraldine (Dan) Desmond, Chandler, AZ, two brothers, John Ryan, Tempe, AZ, William Ryan, Chicago, IL.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Mrs. Brucker was a 1967 graduate of West Leyden high school and 1971 graduate of Western IL University. She received her Masters of Education degree in 1979 from Illinois State University, Normal. She was an elementary school teacher retiring in 2009. She taught at Oakland Elementary, Bloomington for 30 years. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Colfax.
