Obituary
Christopher C. "Cheeto" Leman, 30, of Fairbury, was pronounced dead at 10 am, Monday, February 17, 2014 at his residence in rural Fairbury.
His funeral service will be 10 am, Friday, February 21, 2014 at First Baptist Church of Fairbury with Pastor Daryl Evans officiating.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 pm, Thursday, February 20, 2014 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions be directed to SELCAS.
Chris was born October 27, 1983 in Fairbury, IL; the son of Charles and DiAnn (Traub) Leman. His parents survive in Athens, TN.
Other survivors include one sister, Abbi Leman of Brooklyn, NY; maternal grandparents, John and Bonnie Traub Sr. of Fairbury; paternal grandmother, Donna Leman of Forrest; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Robert Leman and one uncle, Fred Leman.
Chris was a 2002 graduate of Prairie Central High School and a 2006 graduate of Millikin University, Decatur, IL. He enjoyed working the family farm with his uncle John Traub Jr. and cousin John Jacob Traub. Chris loved spending time with his friends and family who will miss him deeply.
