Colfax – Clara "Ruth" Lee, 91 of Colfax; died at 3:48am, Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at her residence in Colfax.

Mrs. Lee was born March 22, 1932, in Medon, TN; the daughter of Malcolm and Annie (Pyles) Young. She married Wilbur "Bill" Lee on January 24, 1951 in Corinth, MS. Her husband preceded her in death on October 17, 1998. Her parents, one brother, James Young, son in-law, Timothy Crook and one great grandson, John T. also preceded her in death.

Survivors include her children, Patricia (Tim) Decker of Colfax; Paula (the late Timothy) Crook of Tolono; Penny (Steve) Tate of Peoria; Albert (Paula) Lee of Culum, Alabama; one sister, Shelby (Melvin) Sain of Memphis, TN; thirteen grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 11am, Monday, May 15, 2023 at Duffy-Pils memorial Home, Colfax; with Pastor Patty Meyer officiating. Burial will follow in Wiley Cemetery, Colfax. Visitation with the family will be 9am – 11am, prior to the funeral also at the funeral home in Colfax on Monday.

Ruth was a 1950 graduate of Boliver High School in Boliver, TN. She was a member of the Colfax Christian Church, Colfax; where she served for many years and belonged to the Hustler's and Women's Group at her church. She worked in Housekeeping at Heritage Manor, Colfax, and Octavia school district. She loved her family and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
