Obituary
Clinton Arnold Harris, 78, of Edwards formerly of Fairbury, passed away 9:55pm on Saturday, January 23, 2010 at Farmington Country Manor in Farmington.
A memorial graveside will take place at a later date. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury is in charge of arrangements.
Clinton was born April 5, 1931 in Fairbury the son of Willis and Josephine VanOppen Harris.
He first married Alverta Scott on April 5, 1952 in Pontiac. He later married Lillian Hoffman on September 15, 1972. She passed away in December of 2009.
Surviving are one daughter, Debra (Mike) Craddock of Fairbury; four sons, Michael Harris and Mark Harris both of Peoria, Martin (Sherri) Harris of Iowa, and Mitchell Harris of Peoria; two sisters Carol Mulliken of Bloomington and Twyla (Dale) Legner of El Paso; two brothers, Willis T. Harris, Joliet and Bernard Harris of El Paso; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, and one infant brother.
Clinton was a veteran of the United States Navy serving during the Korean Conflict. He was employed by CR Cook Furs in Peoria and Tobey Peoria Paper.
