Cremation rites have been accorded with a memorial service at 3 pm, Saturday,December 1, 2018 at the First Baptist Church of Fairbury with Pastor Daryl Evans officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Pontiac Public Library.

Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service on Saturday also at the church in Fairbury. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa is in charge of arrangements.

Connie was born July 13, 1952, in Pontiac, the daughter of John Watkins and Donna (Reynolds) Meggs.  Her parents preceded her in death. Connie will be remembered as a gifted seamstress who used her creativity to bring joy to her family and community.

Survivors include her son, James (Lisa)Mehrkens of Fairbury; daughters, Chastity (Nicholas) Pick of Chenoa; Sally Diemer of Bloomington; Amy (Kristofer) Bachtold of Forrest; 10 grandchildren, Nigel Pick, Hillary (Michael) Blackwell, Abberlyn Pick, Eric (Becky) Mehrkens, Ian Pick, Adi Bachtold, Reece Dunn, Lakin Bachtold, Avery Dunn, Addison Mehrkens and 2 great-grandchildren, Maxwell and Leo Blackwell.
