Paxton – Constance K. Saylor, 79, of Paxton, passed away peacefully on November 13, 2023, at Arcadia Care, Bloomington.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Colfax is in charge of arrangements.

A visitation will be held from 4 – 6 pm on Friday, November 17, 2023, at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Colfax. A private family burial will take place at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Humane Society of Central Illinois.

Connie was born July 9, 1944, the daughter of Forrest Tennery and Darlene (Martin) Strong. She married David Saylor in 1999. He survives in Paxton.

Connie is survived by her two sons: Robert Kirby of Colfax, and Richard Kirby of Cobell. Also surviving are her siblings: Dawn (Gale) May, of Bellflower, Debbie (Joe) Frailay, of Texas, and Mike (Cathy) Reisner, of Mahomet. Constance is survived by eight grandchildren: Alex Kirby, Emma Kirby, Benjamin Kirby, Alyssa Hartness, Jacob Cramer, Tyler Cramer, Taylor Kirby, and Owen Kirby. Five great-grandchildren also survive.

She is preceded in death by both parents, one son, Rodney Kirby, and one great-grandson.

Constance was a lover of animals. She often took in and nurtured any animal that needed it. She loved to be outside in nature. Constance was a car enthusiast and she enjoyed going out to shoot her hand guns. She will be dearly missed.
