Obituary
Cory A. Small, 26, Fairbury, was pronounced dead at 5:15 pm Sunday, September 13, 2015 at the scene of a motorcycle minivan accident in rural Fairbury.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, September 19, 2015 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury with Randy Frantz officiating. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery, Fairbury.
Visitation will be 4:00 to 8:00 pm Friday at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury. The family suggests memorials be given to the Cory Small Memorial Fund.
Cory was born August 22, 1989 in Pontiac, IL.
Survivors include his mother, Theresa (Barry) Chavez, Pontiac, adopted father, Daniel (Jennifer) Small, Strawn, maternal grandparents, Larry and Carolyn Carls, Fairbury, paternal grandparents, Joe and Pat Small, Strawn, girl friend, Katelynn Dunn, Fairbury, 2 sisters, Kaleigh Small, Strawn, Katelyn Small, Gibson City, an aunt, Tammi (Michael) Kupferschmid, Forrest, and several cousins.
He is preceded by a sister, Karleigh Small.
Cory had been employed as a HVAC technician by Edelman Electric, Fairbury and he was a member of the Iron Rockets Motorcycle Club.
