Obituary
Cynthia L. Donelson, 85 of Fairbury, passed away at 8:05 am, Thursday, July 24, 2014 at Fairview Haven Retirement Community, Fairbury.
Private family funeral services will be held at 2 pm, Monday, July 28, 2014 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery, Fairbury.
There will be a public visitation from Noon to 1:45pm prior to the services for Cynthia, also at the funeral home in Fairbury on Monday.
Cynthia was born February 10, 1929 in rural Fairbury the daughter of Samuel and Lydia (Zimmerman) Bittner. She married Clyde Donelson on April 26, 1985 in Marion, IL. He survives in Marion, IL.
Other survivors include; two step-daughters, Carol Frey and Peggy Jo (Roger) Parks both of Marion, IL; one brother; Merle Bittner; three sisters, Emma (Peter) Schaffer, Jean Bittner and Darlene Bittner, one sister in-law, LaVerne Bittner all of Fairbury; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister in-law, Ruth Bittner, one sister, Betty Bittner and one brother, Wayne Bittner.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be directed to the Fairview Haven Retirement Community, Fairbury or the charity of the donor's choice.
