Dalton L. Ferguson, 19, Colfax died at 3:59 pm Friday, October 3, 2008 at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.

A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, October 8, 2008 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Colfax with Fr. Deogratias Kwianuka officiating. Burial will be in Wiley Cemetery, Colfax. Visitation will be 3:00 to 8:00 pm Tuesday at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Colfax. The family suggests memorials be given to the Dalton L. Ferguson Memorial Fund, EMCAA, or the Hammitt School, Normal.

Dalton was born August 22, 1989 in Bloomington, IL the son of Duane and Sydney Trainor Ferguson.

Surviving is his mother and stepfather, Sydney and Robert Bourne, Colfax, father and stepmother, Duane and Laurie Ferguson, Bloomington, one brother, Dylan Ferguson, Colfax, one sister, Chelsea Ferguson, Bloomington, paternal step grandmother, Catherine Bourne, Normal, and maternal step grandmother, Shirley Kirk, Farmer City.

He is preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, and an aunt, Dana Turner.

Dalton was a 2008 graduate of Ridgeview High School having participated in football and track. He enjoyed the outdoors especially fishing and canoeing. He also enjoyed playing the guitar. He currently had been employed at Augspurger Construction, Normal. Dalton will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
