Colfax – Daniel Rodriguez, 76, of Colfax, passed away at 5:17pm, January 15, 2016 at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.

His funeral will be at 11:00am, Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Colfax. Pastor Wendell Wardell will be officiating.

Burial will be in Wiley Cemetery, Colfax.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.

Daniel was born December11, 1939, in Mission, TX, the son of Simon and Maria Vasquez Rodriguez.

He married Angelica Montoya on July 5, 1969 in Colfax. She survives.

Also surviving are his son Daniel (Tina) Rodriguez of Colfax; daughter Patty Rodriguez of Champaign; grandsons, Declan Fuller and Logan Rodriguez; siblings, Ray (Amy) Rodriguez of Coloma, WI, Rafael Rodriguez of Tomah, WI, Rose (Larry) Seal of Chenoa, Rene (Shelly) Rodriguez of Bloomington, and Richard (Jenifer) Rodriguez of Waukegan, WI.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Ray and Rudy and one granddaughter, Ayiana Fuller.

Daniel retired from Caterpillar Tractor Company after 23 years. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Colfax.
