Obituary
Lancaster, CA – Daniel G. Sands, 60 of Lancaster, CA went home to be the Lord on Tuesday, April 15, 2008. He was born May 21, 1947 in Chicago, IL and is survived by his wife of 39 years Doris (Wilson) Sands; his two sons, Eric and Greg; eight grandchildren; one sister and one brother.
Dan graduated from The University of Wyoming in Laramie with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. He served for six years on active duty in the United States Air Force and sixteen years in Civil Service.
He had a passion for various hobbies, which included music, modeling, reading, traveling, genealogy and chauffeuring family and friends in his restored 1930 Model A.
His Funeral service will be 11 AM, Friday, April 25, 2008 at the First Baptist Church of Fairbury with Pastor Steve Anderson officiating. Visitation will be 9 to 10:45 am prior to services at the church. Burial will take place at Graceland Cemetery, Fairbury with full Military Rites conducted by Fairbury V.F.W Post # 9789. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury has charge of arrangements.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Cletus and Florence Sands.
