Obituary
Darlene E. Bittner, 80, Fairbury, died at 10:55 am Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Fairview Haven Retirement Community, Fairbury.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury with the ministers of the Apostolic Christian Faith Church officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Fairbury.
Visitation will be 4:00 to 8:00 pm Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury and 9:00 to 9:45 am Wednesday also at the memorial home. In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorials be given to Fairview Haven Retirement Community, Fairbury or to the charity of the donor's choice.
Miss Bittner was born August 26, 1934 in Fairbury, IL the daughter of Samuel and Lydia Zimmerman Bittner.
Survivors include 2 sisters, Emma (Peter) Schaffer and Jean Bittner, 1 brother, Merle Bittner and 1 sister-in-law, LaVerne Bittner, all of Fairbury, IL.
She is preceded in death by 1 brother, Wayne Bittner, 2 sisters, Betty Bittner and Cynthia Donelson and 1 sister-in-law, Ruth Bittner.
Miss Bittner was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church.
