Darlene Helen Fields, 79 of Apache Junction, AZ; formerly of Chenoa, died Sunday, October 11, 2015 in Mesa, AZ.
Funeral services for Mrs. Fields will be 11 am, Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa. Burial will follow in Chenoa Cemetery, Chenoa.
Her Visitation will be from 4 to 7 pm, Monday, October 19, 2015 and one hour prior to her service on Tuesday, also at the memorial home in Chenoa.
Darlene was born April 21, 1936 in Pontiac; the daughter of Glenn and Helen (Oltman) Hoerner. She married her husband of 53 years, LeRoy H. Fields on August 6, 1955 in Eppards Point Twp. He preceded her in death June 23, 2008. Her parents, one brother Roger Hoerner and one son, Ronald Fields also preceded her in death.
Survivors include one son; Rick (DiAnn) Fields of Normal; one daughter, Sally (David) Dehority of Gilbert, AZ; Darlene has five grandchildren, Adam and Brooke Fields, and Amber, Nevada and Branden Dehority; one brother, Robert (Betty) Hoerner of Pontiac; two sisters, Betty (Bill) Fairfield of Pontiac; Linda (Larry) Rigdon of Normal; and brother in-law, James (Rose) Fields of Westville, IN.
After high school Darlene worked as a Beautician until going into business with her late husband LeRoy spending their lives helping others as a Manager / Owner of Chenoa Builders. Moving together to Arizona in 1985 she worked for Howes Mobile Home Sales and then Owner / Operator of Dowes Mobile Homes.
Darlene loved and was involved with Mountain View Lutheran Church, Apache Junction, AZ. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Mountain View Lutheran Church, 2122 S. Goldfield Rd. Apache Junction, AZ. 85219.
