Obituary
Fairbury – Robert "Darrel" Rigsby, 70, of Fairbury, passed away at 10:43am, May 20, 2014 at Heritage Health in El Paso.
Funeral will be held at 1:00pm, Friday, May 23, 2014 at First Baptist Church of Fairbury. Pastor Steve Anderson will be officiating. Burial will be in Cropsey Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5-8:00pm, Thursday, May 22, 2014 also at the First Baptist Church.
Memorials may be made to the Prairie Central Boys and Girls Club.
Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury is in charge of arrangements.
Darrel was born December 22, 1943 in Fairbury, son of John and Mary Earle Huffman Rigsby.
He was married to Barb Bazzell. She survives.
Also surviving are his son, Darcy Rigsby of Fairbury; grandchildren, Tobey, Peyton, and Seth Rigsby of Fairbury; sister, Carol (Ozzie) Williams of Hudson; and special family friend, Zeke Bazzell.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Bill Rigsby.
Darrel was a dock manager for Walton's Department Store, Fairbury for over 30 years.
He coached little league for many years in Cropsey and Fairbury. He also was the correspondent at Fairbury American Legion for over 20 years.
