Fairbury – David Lawrence McKeon, 51, of Fairbury, passed away at 11:50pm, September 13, 2020, at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

A private family graveside service will be held at Graceland Cemetery, Fairbury.

Visitation will be held from 12-2:00pm, Friday, September 18, 2020, at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury.

Memorials may be made to ASPCA or the donor's choice of charity

David was born July 15, 1969, in Council Bluffs, IA, the son of James and Rosemary Gerrish McKeon. He first married Christine Margherio on June 25, 1988. She died November 16, 1992.

Since 1997, David has been with his husband, Jim McKay. He survives.

Also surviving are his daughter, Deonna McKeon of Forrest; siblings, James (Anna) McKeon of Fairbury, Charlie (Bobbie) McKeon of Fairbury, Michelle (Rich) Miller of Cropsey, Theresa Thomas of Fairbury, and Mary Lou (Joe) Dunham of Cornell.

His parents and one son, Michael preceded him in death.

David worked in the IT department for OSF Medical Centers for more than 20 years.

He most enjoyed time working with his outdoor plants and flower gardens, cooking, and crafting.
