Colfax – David "Bud" Stockle, 76, of Colfax, passed away May 13, 2008 at 1:35AM at Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Colfax.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, May 16, 2008 at 10:00AM at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Colfax. David O'Neall will be officiating. Burial will be in Wiley Cemetery, Colfax.
Bud was born November 29, 1931 in Lexington the son of Alfred and Dorothy Nutt Stockle. They preceded him in death. He married Waneta B. Smith on February 15, 1956 in Colfax. She died July 16, 2007 in Colfax.
Surviving are two sons David A. (Mary) Stockle of Minier and Jake K. (Jodi) Stockle of Fisher; grandchildren, Derek Stockle, Christie (Josh) Anderson, Aaron Stockle, Matt, Mandie and Ben Burgess and Jerrod Komnick ; one great granddaughter Caelyn Anderson; one brother Red (Rosemary) Stockle of Colfax; five sisters, Charlotte (Wayne) Stoops of Cooksville, Mary (Ron) Poppe of CA, Shirley (Jerry) Worthington of TX, Nancy (Jerry) Nord of Saybrook and Donna (Scott) Hahn of AZ.
He was a Veteran of the United States Army. He served during the Korean Conflict.
Bud attended Cooksville Union Church and was a current board member of Cooksville Grain Company.
He was a lifetime farmer in the Colfax area.
The family suggests that Memorials may be made to the Cooksville Union Church.
