Pontiac – David Steven Tull, 64 of Pontiac died at 9:09 am, Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at his residence in Pontiac.

Cremation rites have been accorded and private family services will take place at a later date. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa is in charge of arrangements.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the family of David S. Tull.

Mr. Tull was born August 16, 1959 in Etna, CA; the son of William and Patricia (Finlay) Tull.  His parents and younger brother, Phillip Tull preceded him in death.

Survivors include his children, Amanda (Terry) Birge of Chenoa; Michael Tull of Pekin; Matthew Tull of Minonk; Kayla Tull of Louisville, KY; Brandon Tull of Minonk; one brother, Brian Tull of LeHigh Acres, FL; two sisters, Carla (Scott) Dunn of Ft. Collins, CO; Carrie (David) Smith of Marshfield, MO; 13 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

David enjoyed watching sports, The Bears games especially became a ritual happening. He also enjoyed hosting and entertaining family and friends on special occasions and holidays. He was an incredible cook which made the get togethers that much better.  David was a friend to everyone he met. He was a generous, selfless and humble man who always did what he thought was best for others. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those who knew and loved him.
